About a year after my brother died, some deep-ceded anxiety and sadness would not stop. While talking to my therapist helped analyze my feelings and dig into the past to help my overall mental state, Shauna had immediate and long-lasting solutions. She got to know me and suggested things that worked in the moment. Go for a run! Don’t apologize for how you’re feeling! Take care of yourself! She was motivational and persistent, but supportive. The “100 Days of Joyful Living” exercise allowed me to share pictures and memories of my brother, to grieve him in an original way specific to me, and to find joy in each day, no matter how big or small.
Working with Shauna was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. Now I take the tools we worked on together and apply them every day.
